Meet the Team

Amy

Dental Hygienist

I enjoy building relationships with patients and teaching people about the importance of oral health. That’s true of Dr. Rick, Dr. Colleen and my teammates, too. We all share a common goal of providing honest, thorough, and competent care to all of our patients. As a bonus, we all get along and enjoy each other’s company, which makes for a lot of laughter between us and our patient family.

I started my career in 2000, have a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Baylor University, and joined Zimmer Family Dentistry in 2003. As a hygienist, I conduct initial oral screenings, provide cleanings and preventive services, and educate patients on proper teeth care.

Away from the office, I enjoy being with my four children and supporting their activities. I also like running in the early morning hours when the sun is rising, volunteering in the community, and going out to breakfast with my kids.

I like getting to know our patients and coming in each morning to work alongside an amazing team. Everyone here genuinely cares for our patients and each other. They are knowledgeable, caring, and professional. This makes for a wonderful environment, as we strive together to provide the highest quality in patient care.

I started working in a dental office in 2017 and joined the Zimmer Family Dentistry team in 2020. I handle a variety of duties, including answering the phones, scheduling appointments, and insurance matters. This allows the team to stay focused on caring for our patients.

I absolutely love living in Fort Collins. Having moved here from the open plains of Wyoming, I am grateful to trade the wind for the mountains! My husband and I often enjoy hiking and driving through the mountains, enjoying the beauty that Colorado offers.

Everyone here is caring and considerate of one another and, most of all, our patients. I enjoy getting to know our patients and learning about their lives. We all work as a team and focus on patient care, keeping people comfortable and informed.

I started working in the dental field in 1990 and attended Pima Medical Institute in Denver. In 2015, I was invited to join the Zimmer Family Dentistry team. As a dental assistant, I work in our clinical areas, assisting the doctors with operatory procedures.

I’m originally from Cortez, Colorado and have a son who is a Captain in the Army. In my spare time I love to paddleboard at Horsetooth Reservoir and ride RZRs in southwest Colorado.

Dental Hygienist

I feel lucky to help others with dental health and make people smile. This is a positive and warm practice and everyone gets along well. Dr. Rick and Dr. Colleen are caring and kind, and my teammates are skilled, friendly, and helpful. Our office feels likes a family and we all believe in caring for each other and our patients with compassion.

I attended the Dental Assisting program at Front Range Community College in 2010 and my first job was here at Zimmer Family Dentistry. After working as an assistant, I decided to go back to school and completed the Dental Hygiene program at Laramie County Community College in 2017. In addition to cleaning teeth, I provide a lot of patient education, so people can enjoy lifetimes of healthy smiles.

I’m proud to be a Fort Collins, Colorado native and like spending time with family and friends. I love to be outside enjoying lowkey outdoor activities, and support all Colorado sports teams – Go Broncos! I also appreciate a variety of art and music.

Dental Assistant

I like getting to know each of our patients and helping them achieve their dental goals. It’s rewarding to see people with happy and healthy smiles and to be part of a team that provides care for those smiles. Our team – the doctors and my teammates – are my second family. We all support and encourage one another as we help our patients.

I have worked in the dental field since 1999 and joined Zimmer Family Dentistry in 2015, As an assistant, I spend a lot of my day chairside, assisting Dr. Rick and Dr. Colleen with various procedures.

Family keeps me busy outside the office. I am married and have two children, three dogs, and a bunny.
